Sense of Colour (2017)

'Sense of Colour' reveals the scientific mysteries of perfume. By developing 120 film negatives in 8 different perfumes for men, I create images without using a camera or exposing the negatives to light. By anatomising the material, hidden ingredients are revealed. I display images that may not be images after all. Perfume eludes the visual because it can only be experienced as scent. At the Charles Nypels Lab, Jan van Eyck Academie, I researched how to translate one to another.
